What’s the difference between COB chips and SMD chips?

2. The heat dissipation effect is different. The small chips of COB are densely arranged, producing large and concentrated heat.
SMD light source is limited by packaging, heat dissipation needs to go through the “chip bonding adhesive – solder – copper foil – insulation layer – aluminum” step, slightly larger thermal resistance, SMD lamp beads often arranged dispersed, large heat dissipation area, heat easy conduction.
